Hanako Henty Quintet featured on a double bill with the Aomori Jazz Club at Live Cafe Bar Atom in Aomori City.

PREMIERE! The Yokohama Town Elementary School will have its graduation ceremony and the 6th students will premiere our co-written 2020 graduation song, “最高〜その先にある笑顔を目指して〜,” or, “Saiko~Seeking Our Smiles in the Future.”

PREMIERE & PERFORMANCE! Special collaboration with Naomi Chiyoya and the folks at NPOあおもり男女共同参画を進める会 at the performance center in Festival City Auga, Aomori City. A multi-disciplinary performance, this event features book recitations paired with large-screen visuals and live music. I am featured in two pieces - the opening theme, where all the members involved with the event premiered my new composition, “Kakitsubata,” and music for the recitation of Kaguyahime, a traditional Japanese folk story. On the latter I am also joined by local musician Angelo on clarinet. The performance will be broadcast on Aomori Cable Television (ACT) at a later date.

An evening of vocal jazz at Hayate Ramen. Don’t be fooled by the name, in addition to ramen you can expect some great jazz and drinks all around!
