角を曲がれば/Kadowomagareba
角を曲がれば (Kadowomagareba, or, If You Turn The Corner) – is a song about the excitement one feels at the start of an adventure or going somewhere new. If you turn the corner, who knows what will happen or who you will meet! I also wrote the piece to feature friend and fellow musician Aidan Morrison on Tsugaru-shamisen.
The accompanying video is a collage of performances with wonderful musicians I’ve met here in Aomori. The outdoor locations include Yagen Valley, Chijirihama, and Shimofuro Onsen. Some band members were also brave enough to humor me with a yukata-attire adventure to the ocean – with instruments in tow.
Please enjoy Kadowomagareba!
